I used to shop at Penzeys, and while their spices were just as good (they are owned by the brother, while The Spice House is owned by the sister and her husband), I found their political newsletters, etc., to be over the hill. Hey, you’re entitled to your persuasions, but I and many others were trying to buy spices, not to hear rantings (don’t care which side of the fence you’re facing)! So discovered through a good friend (who was equally dismayed), that we could shop in peace, so now I’m loyal follower of The Spice House.
