No Bridge Too Far – my WWII documentary

(the above video is the intro to my documentary, No Bridge Too Far)

Many years have passed since I began, writing, directing, producing, and narrating the documentary, No Bridge Too Far, dedicated to my father a 540th Combat Engineer in WWII, and his fellow engineers of the 36th, 39th, and 1108th Engineer Regiments.

I managed to complete two hours, covering enlistment and training in the US, to the invasion of North Africa in 1942. Unfortunately due to “life getting in the way”, I never completed the series. However, the website, VI Corps Combat Engineers, along with its forum, features comprehensive information, along with personal accounts from numerous WWII veterans.

At this point I realize I would probably have to start from scratch, since many of those who supplied voice-overs are no longer available, etc., and I would truly love to complete the video history of these units.

Time will tell whether or not my wish comes to fruition, but in the meantime, I want to completely revamp the website, making it even more user and mobile friendly, etc. So stay tuned for details. Sounds like a perfect winter project to me.

P.S. I plan on making the current two-part documentary available on the site. Details to follow.
