Yesterday, we hadn’t seen any of our four chippies, and were starting to fear the worst. All the seed we put out in the morning was still there. Horrible thoughts start going through our overtaxed brains. Did a cat get them? Did they eat something and get sick? Oh no! But this morning when we awoke, there were signs that they were still around. Maybe yesterday was a holiday and they were taking a chippie hiatus. You never know.
Well, they are back in force and I’m happy to report that there’s now a fifth. Yes, you read that correctly. What I thought was Tanner, turned out to be a new addition to our family. One with a very fluffy tail, thus I named her, Fluffy. Surprise. She took to us within a half hour, and I’m happy to say that we are now friends, after a careful sniffing of my toes.
