Goodbye Adobe

I’ve been in the business of content creation for many years, and as time has progressed, so have the prices. I guess that goes with the territory, but one factor I despise – yup, software subscriptions. Sorry, but if you’re a small company, the outrageous cost isn’t justifiable. What happened to buy the software and it yours? I don’t even mind once-in-a-while major upgrade costs, but having to renew yearly? Not for me. And I know that many have followed in my shoes. Enough is enough, so long ago I said goodbye to the big A!

So, what programs do I use? I switched to Affinity’s Designer, Photo and Publisher. No subscriptions and an affordable one-time purchase for the trio. Top notch software, and I even use it to create all my publications including my latest book, Tukaa’s Tale. And as a replacement for Adobe PDF, I’m quite fond of PDF Gear.

As far as video software, I’m extremely satisfied with Corel’s Video Studio, having happily used it for approximately four years. The video below is one of my creations.
