How to Renovate a French Chateau

Ooooh, goosebumps.

I began watching this channel a couple of years ago. It’s one of my inspirations. A lovely couple. A lovely home. A lovely life. I dream of living in this chateau, surrounded by acres of land and lush scenery. The creativity simply oozes from each scene.

I enjoy following their dare-devil adventure. They had the audacity and the foresight to make their dream come true. Hard work? That doesn’t even begin to cover it. And mind you, they already had a young daughter when they bought and began the renovation. They even had another child in the interim. Crazy huh? Maybe so, but the outcome. The handsome outcome.

What they possessed and still possess is a great attitude and stick-to-it-tive-ness in spite of all the difficulties, and there were plenty. However, they had a vision. Sometimes that vision changed but that was alright.

They have a dedicated following – each of us eagerly awaiting every episode. What did they accomplish this week? We wait for whispers of color charts and wallpaper swatches. We are part of that adventure, experiencing it vicariously via YouTube. We tag along, wandering the halls, exploring the nooks and crannies, anticipating the steps of their ongoing six-year project. Their goals were lofty, but they persevered. As they say, the proof is in the pudding.
