Is the evening sky doomed?

Is the evening sky doomed? As we grow accustomed to light pollution, we become less aware of what we are missing. Dr. Kelsey Johnson, an astrophysicist, writes about the growing global amount of artificial light at night.

Even though I live up north in a tiny town, we too experience the inability to see the evening sky. Too many lights blot out the stars. What an utter shame. I miss the Milky Way. I miss Andromeda.
