Our favorite nature/history magazines
Living Bird – Cornell Lab
We receive this magnificent quarterly magazine via a yearly donation to Cornell Lab of Ornithology. It’s the best birding journal we’ve ever read, filled with spectacular imagery, scientific articles, and general information on migration, festivals, tours and more.

Smithsonian – Smithsonian Institution
An inspiring, educational look at past and present, including articles on art, collections, origins, national treasures, ecology, wildlife, preservation and various other topics. In summation, it’s their line of museums beautifully portrayed on glossy paper. Smithsonian publishes monthly, except Jan/Feb, Apr/May, Jul/Aug, and Sep/Oct, and when future combined issues are published that counts as two as indicated on the issue’s cover.
