I’ve been thinking about creating audio versions for the Story of Q trilogy and came up with a possible AI voice.
Of course, I had to make a few alterations to the text to make it flow better, then had to come up with creative spelling (phonetics) for the main character’s nickname, Rache. The AI read it as “Ratch”. Hmmm, so I tried Raych, but she still pronounced it the same. Ah, back to the drawing board. Finally, tried Raech. Bingo, that worked.
Addendum April 26, 2024: I’m making some revisions to the trilogy, and the 2nd editions will be uploaded to Amazon, later this spring. But when I uploaded the revised chapter, “Jessica, the AI” stumbled upon Rachael’s nickname, even though I spelled it the same way – Raech! Therefore, instead of fighting with her, I changed Rache to sweetie. I’ll worry about it later. 😄
So, if you’ve already read one or more of the books, then you know what a daunting and time-consuming project it would be, considering the language from the world of the Accuu, and Daindii’s accent. Oh dear, a phonetic nightmare! 😄
