I fell in love with little Ellen over a year ago. One day in her dad’s studio, she asked if she could play a certain guitar on his wall. “That’s a bass guitar”, he replied, and the rest is history. She’s been playing for a few years now and is becoming quite an accomplished musician. And what’s even more inspiring, are the gleaming personalities of this father and daughter duo, and their wonderful relationship.
Actually, the reason this struck a chord with me was because when I was teaching basic programming at Novi High School (night school), I was often asked, “What good is this going to do me?” or “When will I ever use this?” And I would answer in a similar fashion to Neil’s response.
