It’s all in the name
A good friend informed me that she uploaded her story to my site, and of course, I was thrilled. However, while she had my attention, she also (but very kindly) wanted me to know that she didn’t care for the subtitle. So, I wrote back to her and said that I wasn’t happy with it either – I’d been struggling with it too. We both agreed that some might find it confusing – what does that mean? Or others might find it a bit pretentious. So, following her advice I changed it from
Discovering BTS: a non-linear journey
to
Discovering BTS: an unexpected journey
Be honest, how often have you looked at a book cover/title and thought, nah, I don’t think so… I know I have. The illustration and title should grab you from the start and entice you to pick it up. I certainly don’t want to turn away potential buyers, or even ARMY considering whether they want to contribute their story to my site.
I’m grateful she took the opportunity to speak her mind today. I always want my friends to feel free to be honest, while still supporting me. That’s what it’s all about, Charlie Brown.
Thank you
