Thankful for the mundane

I was reminded of a post I placed on Facebook several years ago, and wanted to share it, because it reminded me of a day one year ago, when I my blood pressure soared off the charts and I wound up in cardiac ICU for five days. Trust me, I was more than ecstatic to return home and be thankful for scrubbing sinks, and dusting, and making beds.

Food for thought…When you find yourself complaining about doing dishes, or any of the other “mundane” things in life, just think of this.

Life can change forever in a minute and you may find yourself in an emergency room, or other equally scary situation, and in that moment you may appreciate the little things in life and wish you were back in your nice, warm kitchen doing dishes, or taking out the garbage, knowing you were alive, well and kicking and able to enjoy another day…
