Time to take a break

I’ll keep this short – I’m not doing well mentally or physically (don’t worry it’s nothing life threatening), it’s just that’s there’s so much going on right now. I broke down this week and cried my eyes out to my understanding husband. I can’t remember the last time I did that.

I need to take a break and try to get a handle on  things, and that includes staying off the Twitter TL for a period of time. The icing on the cake occurred when I finally admitted I was having a rough time earlier this week, and was so disappointed by the lack of interest. I also get very little support for my Discovering BTS project. At this point, continuing to push the book on TW would only further exasperate me, so why continue fighting a losing battle.
And guess what? You don’t need to be on Twitter in order to show your love for BTS. I can do that from the confines of my house by listening to their music, and working on my book – all without the drama.

So, sending tons of love to everyone who contributed their stories to Discovering BTS, and to my DM buddies who are always there for me. I know you’ve got my back.

P.S. Several people contacted me after reading this, and asked if they could still get in touch with me via the DM. Yes, you may. I am continuing friendships via direct messenger, but NOT visiting the timeline. I made some wonderful friendships in the last two years, in spite of all the craziness. I’m sorry I didn’t make that clear.

P.S.S.

It’s amazing how much of a difference it’s already made. I now have my desktop go directly to my DM’s instead of the Timeline.  And on my phone, if I close out while still in my DM’s, it will return to that page.

As far as other social media… I visit YouTube. I can keep up with everything BTS, from there. I get very limited notifications from the Weverse Shop, and the only time I go to the Weverse TL is to occasionally plug my book. Weverse is a zillion times worse than Twitter, so I avoid it like the Black Plague!

So, making my life simpler. Surprise, you can get by without social media. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

P.S.S.S.

Well, it’s been a few days now and I have to admit that I feel so much better. Once you remove something from your life, you realize how much stress it was adding. Now I simply login to chat with friends via direct messenger. It’s such a pleasant experience.

If I do return, it will be with a limited private account, in order to retain full control over my environment. Not surprised to discover that many of my TW friends admitted to going that route, and several more wanting to do so.

Spread the love
