Yesterday afternoon began as any other – a day in the garden, feeding the birds, watching the chipmunks dunk in and out of the chippie cup, stuffing their mouths with seeds and huge peanuts. After planting my newly acquired swamp milkweed in the front garden, I made my way to the she-shed to store the shovel and gloves, then proceeded to the deck. And that’s when my afternoon was turned upside down. I saw a blue jay on its back. Oh no! How can I help? What should I do…

A few months ago, I watched this amazing video on a little girl named, Ana, and I happened to run across the video again, this morning. She blew my mind for numerous reasons, but the main one was because of the confidence she exuded.

The first thing you’ll notice about her is her infectious smile and laugh. The second, her profound intelligence. She’s articulate. A deep thinker. As her mother says, “She’s a thirty-eight-year-old in an eight-year-old’s body.”

Many moons ago when I started my VI Corps Combat Engineers of WWII website, I also began a forum, which currently has 2,336 members registered. Our members have made a total of 31,138 posts in 5,423 threads. I’m always pleased to see the amount of traffic it receives on a daily basis, even after all this time. For instance, in the last fifteen minutes (those are how stats are presented), I see 102 visitors. The most users online at one time was 673 on 04-25-2024 at 03:22 PM. That astounds me and makes me feel very proud…
