The following is the response I left on YouTube, after watching the above video by Rolling Stone Magazine, released just hours ago.

“Always happy to see articles, interviews, and reaction videos to BTS. I’ve been a fan since October of 2018, when family members asked me to watch some YouTube MV’s. I had this stereotypical image in my head, so begrudgingly agreed. It was a day that took my life down another path…

A few months ago, I watched this amazing video on a little girl named, Ana, and I happened to run across the video again, this morning. She blew my mind for numerous reasons, but the main one was because of the confidence she exuded.

The first thing you’ll notice about her is her infectious smile and laugh. The second, her profound intelligence. She’s articulate. A deep thinker. As her mother says, “She’s a thirty-eight-year-old in an eight-year-old’s body.”

“We never landed on the moon.” “Climate change is a hoax.” “Vaccines are ineffective.” Our culture feels riddled with anti-science sentiment and there’s no one factor to blame or easy solution to address it. How did we get here and what effect is it having on scientists and their research? Dr. Paul Sutter, one of my favorites, breaks down the societal elements in play and interviews some of his contemporaries to get a sense of where we go from here.

Man with lamp walking illuminating his path

Let’s start the morning by turning on a light – the light within your heart, the light within your soul. However, if you’re feeling a bit down today, then let me show you the many ways to relight that fire within you.

At times it may seem difficult or even impossible, however, we are often the culprits, our own worst enemies, because we’ve allowed the national news, politicians, social media, etc., into our daily lives, into our homes. However, you don’t have to let the naysayers win, because you still have control over your life, and not vice-versa. Remember, the sun still rises each day, it’s just that sometimes it’s obscured by clouds.
